Announcement for Overseas Absentee Voters

All Filipino overseas absentee voters registered in Brunei Darussalam are allowed to cast their votes for the general elections to be held in the Philippines beginning at 8:00 am on Saturday, 10 April 2010, at the Philippine Embassy. The voting period will be for the duration of 30 calendar days and will include all established holidays in the Philippines and in Brunei Darussalam. Voting in the Embassy will be continuous and will not be less than 8 hours per day.

Polls will close at 6:00 pm on Monday, 10 May 2010, Philippine time.
All registered overseas absentee voters may vote for the following elective positions:
1. President;
2. Vice-President;
3. 12 Senators; and
4. 1 Party-List.

All Filipino Overseas Absentee Voters are encouraged to exercise their right to vote, to cast their votes as early as possible, and to write down legibly the complete names of their preferred candidates.

Voters are allowed to vote as long as their names are included in the Certified List of Overseas Absentee Voters (CLOAV) and Overseas Absentee Voters (OAV) Form 2-A provided by the COMELEC. A COMELEC ID is not a requirement for voting.
